The cozy rooms had everything we needed and the breakfast was delicious. We visited Hallgrímskirkja and the Harpa Concert Hall, which were both close by. Free coffee in the lobby was awesome for the chilly days. I highly recommend staying here!
One downside was the lack of space to store our luggage. We ended up living out of our suitcases, which wasn’t ideal.

During my stay at Guldsmeden, I found the atmosphere to be both charming and professional, with a stylish lobby and eco-friendly decor that enhanced my experience. My room was furnished with comfortable bedding and quality bath products. The staff offered thoughtful assistance, notably when I required help with my business presentations. Additionally, the complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby were excellent for networking after hours.

Charming Nordic-inspired decor, eco-friendly practices, cozy public areas for relaxation
Room sizes felt cramped, especially the Superior Triple Room!!! The bathroom configurations lacked proper privacy and adequate hooks for personal items!!! It was frustrating living out of luggage due to limited storage options!!!

We had a wonderful stay in a Superior Triple Room, and my kids loved the cozy vibe. The staff’s personal touch made everything seamless, from early check-in to recommending places to visit and setting up our airport transport. Fantastic experience!
In my wife’s opinion, breakfast options could be a bit more kid-friendly.

It was just a good pick for a getaway in Reykjavik with value for price. The staff were super nice and the hotel was really clean and comfortable. Consider grabbing breakfast from a nearby bakery as it's more affordable.
